According to a 2017 study, “Making yoga and meditation an integral part of our lifestyle may hold the key to delay aging or aging gracefully, prevent onset of multifactorial complex lifestyle diseases, promote mental, physical, and reproductive health, and prolong youthful healthy life”.
Keeping the body limber and the mind sharp is important to our overall wellness as we age.
This year the festival is featuring a number of sessions focused on longevity and keeping the body and mind healthy as we age.

Embracing Longevity—Vinyasa Flow and Supplemental Practices for Aging Well with Jai Sugrim
Jai is a yoga teacher, longevity expert, and health coach with 28 years of professional experience. He helps his clients to age gracefully while extending their physical and mental health well into the second half of their lives. The main goals of his method, The Art of Aging Mindfully, are to improve longevity, personal health span, and present day cognitive function. This 3-hour intensive will include practice and lecture on The Art of Aging Mindfully method.
Presenter: Jeff Bailey
Jeff is an expert at restoring and maintaining joint health and bone strength. With his Avita Yoga method, he has helped thousands resolve joint pain and return to the activities they love. Jeff brings a revolutionary approach to health that gets to the problem—arthritis, degeneration, and limited mobility.

Brown brings his 25+ years of teaching experience in a personalized therapeutic approach that adapts to individual needs, and his knack for creating open communication developed through his industry leading podcast, J. Brown Yoga Talks, to facilitate a co-creative ritual of healing and spirit.
